Who’s the business

Our client is a global, high-growth technology company operating at the forefront of data analytics and enterprise software. Their platform supports some of the world’s most recognisable brands, and they’re continuing to scale rapidly across multiple international markets.

Following a successful IPO and continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead external reporting and provide strategic insight on complex accounting matters. This is a high-impact leadership role with significant exposure to the executive team and board.


What experiences you will gain

Working closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and wider leadership team, you will:

  • Lead the development and delivery of public company filings and disclosures
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Guide the organisation through evolving accounting rules and best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain strong internal reporting controls
  • Manage relationships with auditors, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, controls, and governance
  • Monitor emerging guidance and assess implications for the business
  • Contribute to strategic planning, board materials, and investor communications
  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives related to finance transformation and corporate strategy

What background should you have before you press apply!

  • 7–12 years of experience in accounting, reporting, or audit in a public company environment
  • CPA qualified with strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Proven ability to lead reporting cycles and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Experienced in navigating complex accounting matters and working cross-functionally
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, publicly listed business with a global footprint
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Workiva or Workday is helpful
  • Based in New York, with the ability to work in-office 2–3 days per week
