Interim CFO

A fast-growing cleantech company is seeking an Interim CFO to lead its upcoming fundraising process. The business develops market-leading technology with strong IP protection and is already delivering commercial-scale projects with blue-chip customers. With strong institutional backing and a clear pathway to growth, the company is preparing for its next funding round.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim CFO with a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in growth capital and infrastructure  finance. The interim CFO will play a critical role in preparing and executing the next financing round, working closely with senior leadership and investors.
Key responsibilities:

• Review and refine fundraising preparation (work already initiated by a leading consultancy).
• Drive investor engagement proactively, leveraging both your network and an existing pipeline of engaged investors.
• Represent the company confidently with investors, demonstrating the ability to explain complex technology at a high level (deep technical expertise not required).
• Structure and negotiate funding packages combining growth equity and project finance.

Ideal Profile

• Demonstrated success raising growth capital and project/infrastructure finance at scale.
• Strong investor network across growth equity, infrastructure funds, and energy transition capital.
• International mindset and ability to engage credibly with global investors.
• Cleantech, energy transition, or industrial technology background desirable, though not essential

This is a part-time role (around 2 days per week) for 6–9 months, beginning with an initial ramp-up of 2–4 weeks full-time. It represents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in scaling a global leader in cleantech innovation, with a search open across Europe
